Anders got his PhD from the University of Helsinki, Finland, in 2011. 2013 he moved to SLU as a postdoctoral researcher in Hofius lab. Since 2018 he has an Associate Senior Lectureship in "Effector Biology" and lead a research group at Plant Biology department, SLU. Plant-virus interactions is his top scientific passion.
Gesa Hoffmann

Gesa did her Master Degree at the University of Vienna, working at the Gregor Mendel Institute. During her thesis she studied apoplastic effector proteins of the biotrophic smut fungus Ustilago maydis. For her PhD she is elucidating the role of RNA granules during viral infections.
Aayushi Shukla

Botany enthusiast, Aayushi, pursued her PhD in Plant-virus interactions and Co-evolution in 2018 from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain. In the Hafrén lab, her research is to explore viruses for autophagy modulators to improve crop growth, stress tolerance and pathogen resistance.
